Well, Younha’s record companies (SONY Japan and STAM Entertainment) seem to have a habit of recycling her songs. With her being both a Japanese and Korean artist, each company made profits by translating her songs from Japanese to Korean and vice versa. In this album, however, SONY Japan included a DVD of her PVs as a bonus (not like we have’t seen her PVs before). There’s also a new song entitled “Kono Kokoro” (which STAM will probably translate in her second Korean album), plus the full version *finally* of Scratch on the Heart (the OP theme of the anime series Maple Story). Finally, there’s the Japanese version of her ever-popular “Password 486″.
You must be thinking, “Isn’t this just like her first Japanese album Go! Younha?”. Well, yes, ~Teen Collection~ is, just as it says, a collection of her Japanese singles, however in this album, SONY Japan did not include the following tracks: Orenji no Hatsukoi, Aoi Lemon, Ashita, Tenki ni Nare, Aiaigasa, Negai wa Hitotsu, Himawari, and Omoide ni Dekinai. You can say that in this album, they only included Younha’s popular songs, such as Houkiboshi, Yubikiri and Te wo Tsunaide (or Younha picked them herself). But even though I like Younha very much, I believe SONY Japan is not managing her well. Her albums are redundant, and it’s been a long while since she’s made a Japanese album of fresh Japanese Pop songs. [Download links after the cut]
