This show is by far the first in my favorite list this season. Natsume Yuujinchou is a cross between The Spiderwick Chronicles and Cardcaptor Sakura, where the protagonist, Natsume Takashi, inherits a book of contracts from his grandmother Reiko, who like him, can see spirits with the naked eye. This book, called Yuujinchou (Book of Friends), contain the names of the spirits that Reiko defeated in her early life. With Reiko gone, the spirits are determined to unbind themselves from her, and it is Takashi’s job to release them one by one, by ripping their page off the book, while making sure he himself is unharmed.

“Isn’t he cute when you look at him?”

Lina Inverse is once again suspected of a crime she did not commit. The crime involves abducting pets of wealthy people and this time, Inspector Weiser is determined to prove her guilt. Lina gets motivated to find the real culprit upon learning about the bounty. She and her friends set off to a mysterious island where all their suspicions seem to point to. Will she catch the real bad guy this time?

“Broken hearts, huh? I guess I just have to admit defeat.”

Due to the sudden illness that struck Shigeki Irie, Nao now has second thoughts about pursuing Medicine. His father had intended him to succeed the company and with pressing problems that follow him even in the hospital, Nao decided to help as much as he can. He agreed to attend a marriage interview with a young American girl whose father might help the company go back to business. Kotoko was heartbroken. Finally losing hope, she slowly turns her attention to the ever-faithful Kin-chan.

“You just said the words you should never say…”

Almost 11 years after the last TV Series of the franchise “Slayers”, Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev are back once again in search of more treasures, more magic spells and more nations to destroy. The show is entitled “Slayers Revolution”, and listening to Megumi Hayashibara’s high-pitched voice sure does bring back a lot of childhood memories.

Tsubaki enters the demon blade’s soul to defeat her brother Masamune. Outside, Black Star was silently waiting for her return, unaware of people bludgeoning him with sticks left and right. Back in Shibusen, Maka and the rest were worriedly watching the events through the magical mirror of Shinigami. If Tsubaki is lucky, she’ll be able to absorb her very first soul, but then, she didn’t know her brother harbored such deep grudge against her that he’s willing to stop at nothing.
