Death the Kid and his weapons were dispatched by Shibusen to investigate a village that was consumed - as if bitten off, by a Kishin. They soon discover that the one responsible for this massacre is a ghost ship called Nidhogg. Kid decides to board the deadly cruise but yankee Liz seems to have second thoughts. During the initial battle against the captain of the ship she gets separated from the two. Through the help of human ghosts she slowly makes her way back, just in time for the arrival of the real big boss - demon blade wielder Chrona.

Ever since the day Takashi inherited the Book of Friends, he’s been constantly bugged by creatures from all corners of the spirit world. The process of releasing them often leaves him tired and sleepy. One day he meets two Youkais who begged his help in eliminating a certain human who’s been forcing them out of their humble homes through his high purifying powers. Takashi’s suspicions point to his schoolmate named Tanuma, who too, seemed to have the gift of sight. Even though he’s worried for the existence of the harmless spirits, he’s somehow elated that there is someone who can finally understand him.

“Being alone is painful..”

Takashi gets visited by the Dew God, whose name is also written on Reiko’s Book of Friends. Returning the God’s name isn’t easy, for the page where his name was written on is stuck with another Youkai’s, and one careless tear can destroy the spirit’s body. Takashi travels a bit to look for the other spirit, and along the way he learns about the slowly diminishing size and life of the Dew God.
