“I wanted to become Japanese.”

Kotoko decides to shift to Nursing because she wants to become a better wife to Naoki. Given her average intellect, she fails the transfer exam. While studying vigorously under Naoki’s watchful eye, she spends the rest of her time bringing Chris and Kin-chan together. Naoki tells her to stop meddling with people’s hearts. Well, Kotoko never listened to him, and she ain’t gonna start now. If anything, she’s the living example of someone who earned love through hard work! Go for Chris x Kin-chan!!

I enjoyed this episode mostly because of Chris’ funny but very cute accent. I’m a little disappointed though because I thought I’d see more intimate scenes between Naoki and Kotoko. Apparently, watching them sit together in bed wearing pajamas was as far as I can get. I even got a little excited when the whole family thought Kotoko is pregnant. Boy I wished that was true.

Which brings me to some little observations. To begin with, Naoki looked somewhat afraid about Kotoko’s pregnancy. I guess it’s too early for him to become a Dad, and he has ambitions of his own at the moment. I just hoped he had shown a little more enthusiasm about the possibility of Kotoko carrying their first child. But no, he dragged her to the hospital to get her body checked. There’s also that scene where Kotoko suddenly felt sick in her stomach and when she remarked how much Nao was acting like a doctor he roughly flicked her forehead with his finger. Come on, can’t he be a little more gentle? Well, I guess, that’s just his character…there really are times when he isn’t charming at all!

About Chris and Kin-chan, well, their love story is a bit far-fetched, considering how gorgeous Chris is while Kin-chan is such a klutz. On top of that, he has bad taste in clothing and he yells a lot. I don’t know how Chris can fall in love with him! And even knit him a sweater, yikes! Anyways, I still had fun watching the two of them so I guess it’s not a bad idea if they end up as a steady couple. It’s a little boring with only Naoki and Kotoko being the couple in this show.
