“Broken hearts, huh? I guess I just have to admit defeat.”

Due to the sudden illness that struck Shigeki Irie, Nao now has second thoughts about pursuing Medicine. His father had intended him to succeed the company and with pressing problems that follow him even in the hospital, Nao decided to help as much as he can. He agreed to attend a marriage interview with a young American girl whose father might help the company go back to business. Kotoko was heartbroken. Finally losing hope, she slowly turns her attention to the ever-faithful Kin-chan.

Seriously, I’m so behind things.

This is such a sad episode. Unrequited love is bad, but being the rebound guy or girl is the worst! Kin-chan’s character is one I never liked from the beginning, but after he became more serious and devoted, I think I’m starting to like him! He reminds me a lot of some people I know IRL. He deserves someone better, it’s obvious Kotoko will never get over Naoki. This is an unfortunate turn of events and I hope things will get better in the succeeding episodes.
