“If you vomit in the car, I’ll kill you.”

Shinkurou, with Benika and Yayoi, finally raided the Kuhoin residence to retrieve his favorite china doll named Murasaki. The trek was difficult with all the snow, not to mention the army of men in black suits who had every intention of eliminating the three before they reach the front doors - no, the back doors. Along the way they again encountered fearsome Lin, and Yayoi stepped forward because it’s payback time. Benika and Shinkurou escaped and reached the Inner Sanctuary where Murasaki is kept, but upon reaching their goal, the person they have come to save doesn’t want to do anything with them anymore.

Episode 11 was intense!!! I love the fight scenes in the snow, but the part that really moved me and made me decide Kure-nai is the best show this season was the one with Lin plus nameless maid plus the knife. The KNIFE!!! Somehow, seeing that scene, I couldn’t help but feel pity for the fate of all the servants in the world who devoted their whole lives to their masters and didn’t know any better. I’m also counting the servants of the previous time (the Gone with the Wind times).

I mentioned this before, about the fear of a Kure-nai character’s death. I was really nervous while watching Yayoi fight Lin, who by the way, somehow resembles Japanese actress Chiaki Kuriyama (who also looks like some creature in the manga Gantz). Lin is such a scary villain, albeit ordinary face and ordinary clothes. Benika displayed her own moves as well, which aren’t really different from Yayoi’s or Shinkurou’s, but among the three, she’s the coolest one. Even in battles she still stands full-height with hair and clothes in place.
