A random book drew Black Star’s and Death the Kid’s attention to the holy blade Excalibur. It is said that whoever gains the power of this sword will attain eternal victory and glory. Meanwhile, Soul has recovered from his last battle against Chrona, though unaware of the black blood that is slowly consuming his human mind and body.

I’m totally clueless about the manga (haven’t started reading it yet), but this episode feels like a filler. I had hoped too see more Medusa and Chrona, but oh well… I guess that’ll have to wait. Episode 9 was fun anyways (though NOT THAT FUNNY).

I’m starting to adore Black Star’s character (I just wished he wasn’t so.. bulky). Now he’s friends with Death the Kid, so the group is finally complete!? I’m looking forward to more adventures.

On a different note, this review is kinda late because I was loyal to AEN. However, I noticed they’re slacking off lately so I decided to try a different fansub group called Rumbel. Their releases are decent enough, so if you’re an AEN follower + SE viewer you may consider switching sources.
