“My idiot subordinate is being summoned for interrogation, how can I stay calm?”
The story focuses on Shibasaki and her new-found friend Hikaru Asahina. They dated informally for a while with books and libraries as their mutual interests. Meanwhile, the other Hikaru (Tezuka) is being encouraged by his brother (Satoshi) to join the Library Affairs Research committee. The plot thickens as Iku becomes involved in a crime of unjust book burning. Looks like the war on “information control” will turn for the worse with a new group messing up the other two.
*Seriously, writing that very short summary gave me a migraine. I really don’t know what I’m talking about because I’m clueless as to where this show is going *lol*. The story is scattered. Or maybe I’m just not getting it. Either way, I’m starting to lose interest in this show. Don’t you think it’s too political? Not? I don’t know what this series is aiming for, honestly. There is freedom oppression as the main theme, however the scope’s not that big, IMO. There’s some action and guns as well, but that too, weren’t very well delivered. That’s not to say Library War is a total failure. I just thought they aren’t maximizing the potentials of this show.
