“I’ve come to a really bad place“

Kotoko thus enters a new life as a university student. She begins her day by putting on the best clothes, plus make-up and pearl necklace. Nao hardly noticed of course, and told her not to follow him around, as if he’d already forgotten about their kiss. Kotoko, on the other hand, had nothing but dreams about that kiss, replaying it in her head over and over, too excited and happy that she had to tell it to someone, and unfortunately, she chose her best friends who just loved to gossip. Well, they actually started believing there’s a something between Kotoko and Nao, but that was before they met Yuuko Matsumoto.

*Don’t know bout you, but I thought this episode was too predictable. I didn’t go “Kyaa” or “Yaay” just because Nao starts teasing Kotoko more and more. I was really hoping he’d improve his treatment toward her, and Kotoko shouldn’t be the girl who always makes herself available to him. Overall, I don’t like Kotoko’s character, or I don’t think I’ll like her in the near future. I thought she’s too weak, and she reminds me a lot of Miaka of FY. Perhaps a sprinkle of Nodame’s toughness should make up for it. I mean, Nodame does follow Chiaki around like a stray cat, but she has a personality, and Chiaki admires that, so he respects her at some level. Unlike with Kotoko who’s well, stupid, Nao does mostly nothing but make fun of her and hurt her.

So what is it about this supposedly love story that makes most fangirls go “Kyaa?” I have no idea.
