Do you have children? Boys? Girls?

It’s Murasaki’s turn to celebrate Shichi-Go-San. She visited a small and unpopular shrine with her friends, had her first fortune drawn out, and bought her first charm, but behind this fun holiday was the threat of the Kuhoin’s discovery of their hideout. At the end of the day, a difficult and painful choice was made.

*This episode turned out awesome. The discrepancy in the Kuhoin family tree plus Ginko’s conspiracy theory are nasty twists indeed. There’s evil pedophile Ryuuji to love and hate as well, and don’t forget Benika. Is it really alright for everyone to just trust her?

Putting that aside, I’m troubled that Murasaki seriously believes she’s Shinkurou’s woman. I don’t think girls her age should be thinking about relationships with men - romantic or otherwise, and I really want to spank Shinkurou for letting this go on. He didn’t have to say things like “I’m happy you are here” or “I like you the way you are right now” because he’s just filling Murasaki’s head with crazy ideas. Well, it is alright to just smile and not look serious when the child babbles on about growing up, getting larger breasts, and returning the favor someday (for whatever the hell he’s been teaching her so far), but at some point I think he has to get her to the right path. But then again, this is perhaps, ultimately, a sort of fan service for lolita fans. Still, there’s the conflict in the story to consider and I can see that this may become a problem when the show reaches climax.
